Job Title: Senior Engineer

Location: Richland, WA On-Site

Contract Duration: 12 months

Hours/Shifts: 4 days x 10 hours

US Citizenship Required


We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support technical reviews and development of electrical design and equipment for various projects. The role involves preparing studies, drawings, calculations, specifications, and evaluations in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with electrical engineers and other technical disciplines in a team environment to ensure the safe operations of a power plant. Strong understanding of engineering discipline drawings, wiring diagrams, system descriptions, and calculations is essential. The candidate must be capable of independent creative design within nuclear industry concepts and procedures, effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, and demonstrate leadership qualities with a focus on continuous improvement and team building.

Responsibilities:

Prepare studies, drawings, calculations, specifications, and evaluations for electrical design and equipment.Collaborate with electrical engineers and other technical disciplines in a team environment.Produce basic and higher-tier drawings and documentation in accordance with established conceptual design and scope.Interpret and apply codes, standards, and customer design requirements for electrical design documents and specifications.Interface with regulatory agencies as required.Cope with conflicting deadlines, frequent interruptions, and multiple tasks effectively.Demonstrate leadership qualities with an emphasis on continuous improvement and team building.Perform special tasks, calculations/studies, and product reviews as necessary.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university and five years of discipline-specific engineering experience; OR a PE license obtained by an accredited examination and five years of discipline-specific engineering experience.High school diploma or GED is required.One diverse assignment is desirable.Plant certification is desirable.Advanced knowledge of discipline engineering principles, practices, and theories.Proficient in computer skills, including complex methods used for problem-solving.Effective communication skills to relate to a wide variety of backgrounds.Ability to provide strong technical leadership.Basic understanding and use of company Core Values (Teamwork, Excellence, Accountability, Mutual respect and trust, through open and honest communication).
