Job Title: Project Manager II-Nuclear Projects

Location: Richland, WA On-Site

Duration: 12 Months Mon-Thurs

Hours/Shifts: 4 days x 10 hours

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager II to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing projects and programs, typically less than $10M in value, including planning, scheduling, and control of activities independently. They will lead project teams of greater than ten people, particularly focusing on complex multidiscipline projects where strong leadership is essential. This role requires establishing priorities within projects, maintaining a general knowledge of all project aspects, and mentoring other project managers. The Project Manager II will oversee project budgets, interact closely with finance and project controls groups, coordinate with other managers, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.


Responsibilities:

Manage project activities for refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line work, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.Develop budgets and track cost versus budget for assigned projects.Liaise with clients, engineers, vendors, and management to ensure project progress and focus.Develop and manage contracts, interface with vendors, and oversee procurement processes.Develop project schedules to manage risk, accurately track progress, and manage critical path and float.Prepare and deliver written and oral communications to various stakeholders, including senior management.Develop and maintain long-range plan strategies associated with assigned projects.Support effective implementation of the Columbia Generating Station Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program.Support outage support including OCC.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from an accredited college or university, and fourteen years of experience in a technical field; OR an AA/AS degree and sixteen years of experience in a technical field; OR a High School Diploma or GED and eighteen years of experience in a technical field.Advanced degree in a related field of study or business may be accepted in lieu of two years of experience.Project Management certification is required.Extensive work experience in the role of direct supervisor or project manager in the commercial nuclear industry environment, focused on maintenance, operations, engineering, or construction.Supervisory experience preferred.Advanced knowledge of error reduction and human performance improvement methods, and cost-effective work execution methodologies.Experience with managing complex projects, on-line work management, or refueling and forced outage related activities.Skilled in software programs such as passport and MS Office programs.Experience with evaluating organizational, personal, technical, and effective maintenance programs, procedures, schedules, and cost performance.Knowledge of code and regulatory requirements as they relate to operations, construction, maintenance, engineering, and project work activities.
